Sarri confirms Chelsea backroom staff

CHELSEA manager Maurizio Sarri has confirmed his backroom staff following an exodus from the club this summer.

When Antonio Conte was sacked as boss last month, eight staff went with him: assistants Angelo Alessio, Paolo Vanoli, Davide Mazzotta and Gianluca Conte; fitness coaches Julio Tous and Costantino Coratti; goalkeeper coach Gianluca Spinelli and fitness/ nutrition consultant Tiberio Ancora.

In addition, fitness coach Chris Jones had already departed to join former Blues star Frank Lampard at Derby County.

Some staff have remained: goalkeeper coach Henrique Hilario, assistant Carlo Cudicini and fitness coach Paolo Bertelli have stayed on.

And into the breach come Sarri’s assistants, Gianfranco Zola, Luca Gotti and Marco Ianni.

As well as Gotti and Ianni, several other staff have come with Sarri from Napoli - all of them Italian. Massimo Nenci is an additional goalkeeper coach, Davide Ranzato and Davide Losi are assistant fitness coaches and Gianni Picchioni is a scout.
