BLACKPOOL chairman Karl Oyston has taken to LinkedIn to appeal for a new Head, Head of Coaching, Physio and Administrator for the club’s Category 3 Academy.

Previous Academy Head Ciaran Donnelly left the club at the start of May to take up the same position at local rivals Fleetwood Town and has not yet been replaced. The 33-year-old had been a player and coach at the club for 13 years.

William Watt, who covered Blackpool for the Gazette newspaper for 11 years, is now head of first-team operations at Fleetwood.

Last season they won the NW Youth Alliance League and Lancashire County FA Youth Cup. Oyston said candidates would need to have “required qualifications and be based or ready to relocate to the North West.”
