ADAM KERR has left his role as Head of Fitness at Middlesbrough following a “reorganisation of roles” instigated by new manager Garry Monk.

Kerr, who was formerly an Academy Sports Scientist at Arsenal, had been in the role at Boro since June 2013. His duties will now largely be taken on by Head of Physical Performance Sean Rush, who Monk has brought with him from Leeds United.

A Boro spokesman told TGG: “We wish Adam all the best and thank him for the work he’s done for us. Garry has changed the way things are done since coming in and there has been a reorganisation of roles.”

Monk has taken several other members of his Leeds staff with him to Boro - Assistant James Beattie, Head of Performance Analysis Ryan Needs, Goalkeeping Coach Darryl Flahavan.
