NEW Arsenal boss Unai Emery will bring his long-time assistant Juan Carlos Carcedo and goalkeeping coach Javi Garcia with him to the Emirates.

Carcedo has been the Spaniard’s right-hand man since 2006, taking in spells at Almeria, Valencia, Spartak Moscow, Seville and PSG. Garcia was the Spaniard’s goalkeeping coach at Seville and PSG.

While there are likely to be other appointments to Emery’s inner circle, including a fitness coach, the new Gunners head coach is not expected to bring a big entourage with him to London.

In the last year, the club has undertaken a significant restructure, with a number of high-profile heads of department intended to take the power base away from the manager.

Australian Darren Burgess has ultimate responsibility for medical and performance matters as Head of Elite Performance, while Sven Mislintat oversee transfers as Head of Recruitment.

The staff who have exited had all served long periods under former manager Arsene Wenger. Head of Medical Colin Lewin, coaches Tony Colbert, Boro Primorac, Neil Banfield and Gerry Peyton, as well as kit man Paul Johnson have all gone since the end of the season.
