Adams leaves Swansea head of academy coaching role

SWANSEA CITY are looking for a new head of academy coaching following the departure of Dave Adams.
Adams had held the role since his arrival at Swansea in the summer of 2014 and temporarily stepped up to assistant coach with the first team during Alan Curtis’s spell in charge. His new job has not yet been announced, although he tweeted “amazing three years at Swansea. Best of luck to Academy staff and players. Thanks for all the memories.”
Prior to moving to Swansea, Adams was a consultant for the Football Association of Wales. FAW Technical Director Osian Roberts tweeted: “Congratulations on exciting new role. Did a remarkable job on several levels."

Swansea yesterday posted an ad for a replacement on their official website. They ideally want someone with a Pro Licence - which Adams himself held - and “significant experience in coaching within an elite learning or performance environment.”
The closing date for applications is Friday February 17th. New Swans manager Paul Clement recently bolstered his backroom staff by bringing in Nigel Gibbs and Karl Halabi in from Tottenham.
Gibbs has become Clement’s number two, while Halabi is the new head of physical performance.
